Tree of Friendship Mission

Inspired by the Vision of PM Narendra Modi’s philosophy of LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) and the vision of “One Earth, One Family, One Future,” the Tree of Friendship mission was launched by Mr. Jitender Aggarwal, Chairman & Managing Director of AGGCON Equipments, in 2023 to mark the 20th anniversary of AGGCON.

This initiative reflects AGGCON’s enduring commitment to environmental sustainability and reducing carbon footprints. The core objective of the mission is to inspire individuals and organizations to plant trees, nurture the planet, and foster a culture of ecological responsibility.

Our Green Practice

As part of the Tree of Friendship mission:

• A tree is planted at every project site upon the arrival of AGGCON machinery.
• We view trees as our friends—guardians of the environment that help restore ecological balance.
• Our team members not only plant but also care for and nurture each tree to ensure it thrives.
• Every guest visiting our office receives a plant as a symbol of friendship and sustainability, with a heartfelt request to plant and nurture it.

Through this initiative, AGGCON aims to create a network of green ambassadors who carry forward the message of environmental care and climate consciousness.

World Environment Day 2025

On June 5, 2025, in celebration of World Environment Day, AGGCON organized a massive tree plantation drive, bringing together our employees, partners, and volunteers in a united effort to make a tangible impact.

·       5,000 trees planted across diverse regions

·       Reaffirming our commitment to ecological restoration

·       Contributing to better biodiversity, cleaner air, and climate resilience

This effort is a part of our broader vision to build a sustainable and inclusive future, aligning our actions with India’s constitutional duty under Article 51-A(g):

“It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to protect and improve the natural environment including forests, lakes, rivers and wildlife, and to have compassion for living creatures.”

 

Our Impact So Far

Since the inception of the Tree of Friendship mission in 2023:

Over 2.5 lakh trees have been planted
Touching lives and landscapes across the country
Helping heal the Earth—one tree, one site, one friendship at a time

According to established research, one mature tree can absorb up to 22 kg of CO₂ per year, and over its lifetime, it can remove nearly a ton of CO₂—a significant contribution to reducing global carbon emissions.

This means that our efforts so far have the potential to eliminate over 2.5 lakh tons of CO₂ over time, making a measurable difference in combating climate change.
