THE YAMUNA EXPRESSWAY PROJECT
The Government of Uttar Pradesh worked proactively to improve the connectivity of the National Capital Region to improve tourist attraction of Taj Mahal at Agra through the new 6 Lanes Access Controlled Expressway with the brand name of Yamuna Expressway.The Yamuna Expressway Project was conceived with the idea to not only reduce the time travel between New Delhi and Agra but also to open up avenue for Industrial and Urban development of the region and provide the base for convergence to tourism and other allied industries.The longest access six lane project was originated in 2001, for which, a statutory body of Government of Uttar Pradesh was constituted, named as, Taj Expressway Authority (TEA) on 20 April 2001.The 165 km long Yamuna Expressway have been developed by the Jaypee Group under Public-Private Partnership.The project was formally inaugurated on 9 August 2012 by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mr. Akhilesh Yadav.
We have done work with various contractors by fulfilling all the requirements of heavy construction equipments to complete this project and were glad to be the part of the same.
HYDERABAD METRO RAIL PROJECT
The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project is the world’s largest Public-Private Partnership project in the metro sector, covering 72 km across 3 corridors, transporting Hyderabad to the future.To respond the rising public transport needs and mitigate escalating vehicular traffic in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, the State Government and the South Central Government jointly launched the Multi Modal Transport System (MMTS) in August 2003.The increase in the population of Hyderabad made MMTS insufficient alone, which led to Union Ministry of Urban Development giving the nod for The Hyderabad Metro Rail Project and directed the DMRC to conduct a survey on the project.The 72 km standard gauge network features to ballastless track throughout and is electrified at 25Kv to 50Hz.The project was showcased as one of the top 100 strategic global infrastructure projects at the Global Infrastructure Leadership Forum held in New York during Feb-March 2013.
We were proud to be a part of such an overpowering project which led to the development of the country, by providing heavy construction equipments.
SAMBALPUR ROURKELA ROAD PROJECT
L&T IDPL was awarded a contract by the government of Odisha for developing a road project. The road project issued by the Odisha Works Department, was built under the Public-Private-Partnership model. The stretch was extended for 163 km. It was L&T IDPL’s first road project in Odisha, executed on a build-operate-transfer basis. Initially, the road had two lanes and so, were widened to four lanes along with other facilities such as flyovers, underpasses, bridges, bus bays, rest areas and service roads.The project has state-of-art facilities such as advanced Highway Traffic Management Systems, Highway Patrolling Service and Accident Vehicle Recovery Service.
We were overwhelmed to play a significant role in the project by fulfilling the need of heavy contruction equipments.
KOCHI METRO PROJECT
Kochi Metro is a metro system serving the city of Kochi in Kerala, India. It was opened to the public within four years of starting the construction, making it the fastest completed metro project in India until the Lucknow Metro overtook it. The Kochi metro project is the first metro in the country which connects rail, road and water transport facilities. On October 2017, Kochi Metro was named the Best Urban Mobility Project in India by the Urban Development Ministry, as part of the Urban Mobility India (UMI) international conference hosted by the ministry every year. Then Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone for the Kochi Metro rail project in 2012, construction work was started in June 2013 and a 13.4 km section of the line from Aluva to Palarivattom was opened to passengers on 17 June 2017 by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India. A second 5 km section from Palarivattom to Maharaja’s College Stadium was inaugurated on October 3, 2017. Kochi metro was lauded for its decision to employ Kudumbashree workers and also members of the transgender community. It is the world’s first metro whose entire management operations are handled by women. Every Kochi Metro station is designed on a specific theme around Kerala culture and geography.

GANGA RIVER BRIDGE PROJECT, BALLIA
HL Bridge across river Ganga was constructed on NH-13 at Shri Rampur Ghat, Ballia in Uttar Pradesh by UP State Bridge Corporation Ltd. The bridge is an extra dozed, pre-casted and pre-stressed segmental box gider of 2.544km with 25 foundations and 8 modules, each of 318m. It has a deck and a carriageway of width 11.300m and 7.500m respectively.
We were grateful to work for the expansion of the infrastructure of the country by providing heavy contruction equipments in the project.
LUCKNOW AGRA EXPRESSWAY PROJECT
The Agra Lucknow Expressway is a 302km tolled controlled-access highway, constructed by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority to reduce traffic in already congested roads and to reduce pollution and carbon footprint. It is the longest expressway in India. The expressway reduced the distance between the cities of Agra and Lucknow in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is a 6-lane expressway which is expandable to 8-lanes in future. It was completed and inaugurated on 21 November 2016 by the then Chief Minister, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav. It is widely seen as his dream project and the flagship model of development in the state, being the first of its kind to be completed in the shortest span of time. The project was completed in 22 months. The Expressway will carry all public amenities viz. underpasses, service roads, provision for green belt, rest houses, petrol pumps, service centres, restaurants and four agricultural mandis for milk, potatoes, grains, fruits and vegetables.
